about

Going Back, Remembered and Remixed Family Folk Songs, Vol. 1 is a modern collection of Canadian-Asian folk music inspired by traditional songs from China and Taiwan, remembered and remixed by 3x Juno-nominated singer-songwriter, Ginalina, and presented in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.

Newly arranged songs include, and are inspired by, classics such as Jasmine Flower, Diu Diu Deng, and Gong Xi. West Coast flavours of accordion, banjo, guitar, lap steel guitar, mandolin, percussion, ukulele, and violin are complemented by featured guests from the Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble on the Erhu ("two-string violin") and Zither ("guzheng").
